I set all the sliders to the right in the graphics options in FSX to see how my system could handle it. I was using PMDG 737-800 which has a quite a big hit on fps, REX, Active Sky 2012 and some scenery add-ons. It was ok without Fraps running i was getting about 30-40 fps but while recording it dropped down to 12-20 fps. Very pleased with the results.
I have added a logbook to the site. Starting to enter the data is proving to be dull. I didn’t realise i had so many entries. Never mind it will be nice to have an electronic record of the flights.
I have been looking around for awhile now at other flight sim blogs and i have to say there are some really good ones. Inspiring stuff. I have a lot to do.
I made a couple of basic tutorial videos and uploaded them to You Tube. I have now got them live on this site and it was all quite easy. Glad to start getting some content up here. Making the videos were fairly straightforward although i don’t think i come across as the best instructor and nor am i trying to.
I think i enjoy the process more than the end result and guess that’s what it’s all about.
Started to add some tutorials to the navigation section of the site/blog. No idea if these will be any use to anyone but i find them helpful to revise stuff i keep coming back to after long breaks in certain aspects of the sim. They are doing no harm anyway so i will just keep adding stuff i find useful.
First ever post on this blog so i suppose i better make it a good one. This will have to do because i am seeing what the layout and font looks like. So really this is in fact just a test. Sorry folks not such a good post but it does serve it’s purpose. Functional.
